About Us
The Montessori classroom is a prepared environment, presenting our young students with materials and exercises made for small fingers. It invites your child to investigate his environment and develop the skills needed to take control of his world.
Child-friendly materials are easily accessible, allowing your child to try new things and learn with each step. Shapes, structures, textures and colors in the Practical Live and Sensorial Areas lend themselves to drawing, building, counting and molding. This captures your child’s attention and hones important focus and concentration skills. The children’s love of pouring, for example, becomes a multi-level exercise that teaches motor control with varying sized containers, and sensory stimulation with the sounds and textures of the varying items poured. By performing these exercises until he succeeds, your child builds confidence and is ready to take on greater challenges. Our head teachers are certified Montessori professionals dedicated to serving our children. Our assistant teachers take additional training classes every year as part of their professional development.
Our “Atrium” is a special place where the children may nurture their relationship with God. Hands on materials allow children the opportunity to work and pray in their own spiritual environment.
